Janice Adam
Aqua Fitness Instructor
Janice has led exercise classes on the Central Coast for over 20 years in the Health Club, Private Club and Community environments.
Janice found true magic of Aqua Fitness exercise following a serious back injury many years ago. She found that water worthy movement was the answer to her body concerns. Over several months, she was able to stabilize and strengthen her back and body, enabling her to return to teaching a variety of exercise classes. Her personal success story in the pool led her to earn her life certification for Aqua Exercise Instruction!
Janice believes that movement in the water can be the “glue” to everything else we ask our bodies to physically do. We find body balance in the water, no matter the level of daily activity you set for yourself on the court, on a playing field, hiking in the hills or playing with your children. Impact on our joints and spine is dramatically reduced when in the water. We can free up restricted mobility and find new flexibility, all while strengthening opposing muscle groups.
Every class Janice leads is designed to be fun and purposeful. You will feel confident in what you do, successful in realizing physical goals, and invigorated to energetically move on with your day!
Staley pearl
Swim Instructor
Formerly the head diving coach at Cal Poly, she led her team to record-breaking successes. Her career includes a decade of water safety instruction and risk management at two universities, and her background as a D1 coach and personal trainer enhances her swim instruction. With a Master’s in Social Work and competitive diving experience at the University of Tennessee, Staley offers a compassionate and well-rounded teaching approach.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and painting.
