AQUA FIT WITH JANICE ADAM

Tuesdays, Thursdays & alternating Saturdays 10am to 11am

Aqua Fit is a fun, high cardio, calorie burning exercise class that is set to motivating music with varied beats per minute (BPM). The music moves you to get moving! Exercise in the water is an excellent way to safely and effectively lengthen, strengthen, stabilize and mobilize joints, muscles, and your spine without the added gravitational pull we feel and experience on land.

Body placement in varied depths of water using natural body buoyancy or assisted buoyancy with the help of buoyancy belts, noodles and hand buoys invites balance challenges and promotes cardiovascular fitness. Hydrostatic pressure against the body increases your heart rate, circulation and leads to optimal lung capacity and efficiency. The more you submerge your body in water the greater the hydrostatic pressure presses against it!

Water toys not only assist your buoyancy, they also create drag when you push, pull, press and sweep them through the water. The shape and size of your water toys and your actual body shape and size causes resistance in the water. Here is where you realize exciting increased muscle strength as opposing muscle groups are hard at work and must recruit from smaller stabilizing muscles. You see a very quick return in health and strength and joy when you allow your waterwork to work it’s magic!

Get ready for a heart-pumping workout that blends aqua moves, water polo drills, and swimming techniques for a full-body burn—all in just one hour! Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced exerciser, every move can be tailored to your level.

Expect good vibes, plenty of laughs, and upbeat music that will make the time fly. Non-swimmers are welcome! Deep water skills are not required.
